The American Physical Society (APS) has elected Prof. Bill Wootters to the status of Fellow for his “contributions on the foundations of quantum mechanics and groundbreaking work in quantum information and communications theory.” Each year the APS elects no more than one half a percent of its membership to Fellow status.
Wootters joins Williams Professors Stuart Crampton, David Park, and Jay Pasachoff as APS Fellows.
