Purpose: Illustrate the idea of centripetal and centrifugal forces and accelerations.

Setup: Hold the setup from the hanger and spin it around in a vertical circle with a certain speed. The water stays inside the glass even when the glass is upside down. Same thing can be done with a bucket partially filled with water. If you swing the bucket fast enough, the force of the water pushing on the bottom of the bucket will be stronger than the gravity and the water will stay in the bucket.
