Purpose: Illustrate the operation of generators and motors using electromagnetism.

Setup:
Connect the set up to the power supply as shown in the pictures to see how it works as a motor. When the power is on the disk connected to the setup starts rotating.
To see how it works as a generator, remove the setup from power supply and connect it to the galvanometer as shown in the pictures. Crank the handle in the setup and watch the galvanometer.
