Nick Wilding, Georgia State University

Recent forgeries of early modern books using photopolymer plates have attained a high level of sophistication. This talk will examine the long history of book forgery, looking especially at efforts to create convincing artifacts, rather than merely forge texts.  The lecture is sponsored by the NASA Massachusetts Space Grant Consortium in collaboration with Astronomy = History of Science = Leadership 340.
